Episode 4
Kicking off this episode we take a look at the house Stanbury has been building. Sergio mentions a baby room. He is so excited at the prospect of a new addition, however Stanbury seems to be brushing off. They then move to a private area to discuss the baby situation where Stanbury does express her concerns for having a baby. She tells us in her confessional that if she can’t have a baby, then Sergio walks. I’m over here just thinking on how many men she can get that would love her enough to not pressure her like that. She literally says how scared she is about starting over and he just wants what he wants. This is kind of the first time we actually see his demanding need for the baby and how he doesn’t seem to care about his future wife’s concerns. I would now be curious to see how long this marriage actually lasts. A baby can break a relationship if one wants it and the other doesn’t. I mean it is a life commitment.
Traveling now to Brooks where she is being shown different building ideas for her luxury spa business she wants to start in Dubai. She dubs herself the queen of spa because she is obsessed with everything glam. (Must be nice) Brooks ends up picking a seemingly small 2,000 sq ft place that’s a whopping almost $26,000/month in rent. Failure won’t happen for her. She made herself into a self-made millionaire after her and her husbands divorce… the same ex that’s helping finance her business… so she just won’t fail. In my opinion, she has her ex to fall on if anything should happen.
Nina takes us to her husband office where they have a nice chit chat about getting her a new car. Her husband is trying to get her a new Rolls-Royce for their 11 year anniversary. LoL Nina mentions how they are going to keep the Bentley, but she can’t decide on which Rolls to get. If this isn’t the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I know these people are rich and all but dang! To top it off, they then start talking about getting a number plate. I don’t know why, but in Dubai, a single digit license plate can run in the millions??? I can’t. These people have way too much money.. 🥴
Hello Mrs. Lesa. We now head to her office that her kids are at and she waits for her hubby. She gets a little defensive when her kids tell her they think that her business isn’t as important as daddy’s. Lo and behold hubby comes in all ready to be daddy/business man to the rescue. Lesa and hubby go into another area to talk about how good the business is doing since the fashion show. He gets a call and she gets frustrated thinking he doesn’t prioritize her company. He is the CFO of her company and she is trying to get things signed and started so they can continue to produce clothes. It gets to a point where she said she can make the decision and hubby kind of said if he doesn’t sign off, it won’t get approved. Lesa again is a little offended by this and calls him patronizing. I can understand her thought process as her kids kin’s of already insinuating that daddy has more important business than hers. I honestly feel like there is a reason she brought him in as CFO and should respect his say in the business…. I may be wrong though. He does end up telling her to do it because he believes in her. Obviously this makes Lesa happy.
Ah now we get to see Ayan. She is walking with her husband, Chris. She goes on to say how she was supposed to marry her cousin, but she met Chris before. One week before her wedding, she leaves and runs away with Chris. Her mom wasn’t happy with her decision especially marrying a white man, but she loved him so she left. Ayan also said that Chris ended up paying $1,000 for her. Now the whole family loves him. Interesting. Again showing how different Ayan is and how far she has come. She is interesting for sure.
Hello again Brooks. She is talking with her son and talks to him about being bullied. He seems to be blowing it off and saying him and the other kid just don’t talk. Brook explains why she makes her son go on a bus and goes to public school to make sure he’s getting socially what he needs. Ummm…ok… sounds like you just wanna save the money for your business… that your ex is helping you with LoL
Lunch with Stanbury and Sara. Sara explains why she does not drink alcohol. She had a bad experience. I think we all have. I mean I won’t tough vodka ever again. I get it but there are others. I happen to be a tequila girl LoL The girls end I- talking about how Sara’s ex didn’t accept her child. They move on to how Stanbury froze her eggs up fertilized but they changed the law recently where now it’s different…. Not too much interesting things here.
Now we see all the girls getting ready for Nina’s friend Bijan’s birthday party. She had mentioned earlier he was like a second wife to her husband but he is the business partner. The party is all decked out with a floating piano, fire performers, and more. The party she mentioned costs in the high six figures. Ugh the money. As guests arrive, Ayan and Lesa are the first to show. They sit at a table and are soon grebe Stanbury. Ayans confessional quickly comes up where Ayan calls her a bit**, but will play nice as long as she does. They actually acknowledge each other and give cheek kisses. Stanbury goes to Lisa and explains she couldn’t go to the fashion show because of her wedding planning. Lesa shoots back that Stanbury’s issues are with Ayan and that Lesa has no issues with Stanbury. Ayan gets up to go get something and Stanbury gets mad at her fiancé, Sergio for being nice to Ayan. The then says that he’s one of “them”. Naturally the girls are getting a little annoyed at that statement wanting to know what “them” means. Sergio looks legit confused by her reaction and can’t understand why she is so mad. He tells Stanbury he loves her and tries to smooth it out. Lesa holds Sergio’s hand and tells him they love him. Stanbury cracks back with “I hope she’s going to suck your d**k.” Like wow.. Stanbury up to this point was the one who was not dramatic, doesn’t care, wedding planner. Now for honestly no reason it looks like she is coming out and being so mean. She can’t be that mad about Sergio being nice to Ayan. They are at a nice party. Stanbury, just moments before, kissed her side cheek. Sergio really laughs it off but clearly uncomfortable at this point and tries again to smooth things out. Stanbury and Sergio walk off. Ayan comes back and is informed about the “them” statement. Ayan says she’s done trying. Stanbury comes back and is heard that she said something. They are back on the “them” argument. Stanbury seems intoxicated at this point and points out that Lesa likes to stir things up. Lesa is telling Sara that has joined now what’s going on. As she’s explaining, Stanbury is drinking and taking more shots. Ayan takes the opportunity to say how she’s tried and that she didn’t want to be singled out. Stanbury advises maybe it was a miscommunication and before we know it they are hugging it out. The episode ends w everyone partying and having fun.
Thoughts-
Ok so now that the beef seems to be squashed with Ayan and Stanbury, the only issue we have now is Stanbury and Lesa’s now feud. Ayan is now officially not the center of attention for now but we see a turning in Stanbury. She seems to be moving toward the shows “villain” and taking that from Ayan. I have to say Ayan in this show was way more likeable and we got to see the side of her that wasn’t all about herself. She opened up more of her childhood and how she met her husband. Ayan still had her moments, but it was mostly in the confessionals and wasn’t too bad.
Still a little shocked with Stanbury’s attitude toward her fiancé. I have to think that on some level, the stress of the wedding, building a house, thinking of having a baby, all while managing the other things in her life are getting to her. We shall see.
